Boris Podrecca grown up in Trieste; studied in Vienna, master class Roland Rainer Ateliers in Vienna and Venice.Guest professorship in Lausanne, Paris, Venice, Philadelphia, London, Vienna, and Harvard-Cambridge (Boston), Triest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Maribor.
Since 1988 Professor at the University Stuttgart / Germany, Director of the Institute of Design and Theory of Space.
Public spaces in Vienna, Salzburg, Leoben, St. Pölten, Ottensheim, all in Austria, Cormons, Verona, Motta di Livenza, Ravenna, and Trieste in Italy, Piran and Idrija in Slovenia as well as Split in Croatia.
Realized buildings in Austria:
Several residential and public buildings, car houses for Mazda, the headoffice of the Vienna Insurance Group in Graz, in Vienna the Insurance Offices Basler, the conversion of the Ringturm, the Millennium Tower and the Vienna International Biocenter.
Internationally have been realized among others the conversion of the Museum of Modern Art Ca'Pesaro and the residential housing Judeca Nova in Venice, the Grifone Area and hotels in Bolzano, Italy; the conversion of the University of Maribor, Slovenia; and the designhotel Mons in Liubiana, Slovenia, hotel resorts in Dubrovnik and Zadar in Croatia as well as under construction in Campione Lago di Garda, Italy. Also under construction the Museum of Porcellaine in Limoges and Hotel Kempinski in Vienna..

Numerous won competitions, at least the big urbanistic one "Railway station area of Bolzano"
