Some people are asking me: “Why are you so obstinate? Why don’t you stop, take a break and rest a while? Festivals are out, meetings are out, internet communities don’t need personal contacts. Nobody has time and interest for your circus. You are losing time and money.” And there are others saying nothing but thinking similarly, I guess.
I know. The times are changing. Everybody is working harder and getting older. The earth is warming and many pleasures are not politically correct anymore.
Personal letter of Jure Apih, CEO of ICAC
But this is all just a superficial impression. Are you sure that we are really so different from ourselves of a year ago? Are we not curious any more? Don’t we need to meet friends, to find new ones, to be knocked-off by extremely smart people?
We all are still sealed within our skin. We have the same attitudes, the same passions, and the same interests and motivations. Only our demands, criteria, our vanities are more powerful that ever before.
We don’t need to brush off the glory of new winners. We can see everything on the net.
But the question is – do you really see it?
We don’t need to go to school anymore. We have learned what we need. We have enough knowledge and experiences.
Really?
Have you ever met the most popular philosopher of our time?
Do you know how the chevalier des arts et de lettres, creator of architectural projects in Venice, Vienna and Istanbul, thinks about the spirit of the place? Is creativity given by God or can it be learned, as the worldwide leading thinking teacher say? And do you know the secret of creative leadership?
Aren’t you curious what 30 global creative stars, new planetary winners, teachers and friends are coming to share with the Istanbul CUP's delegates?
And have you ever visited the mysterious capital of civilizations, of immense historical importance and with one of today's most vibrant economies, connecting two continents and the seven seas?
Think about it.
