Name: Mario Mandacaru
Title: Creative Director, Brandia Central, Lisbon
Born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1960. Graduated in Advertising and Marketing at a local university in 1983. After one year working at Dogma Advertising he moves to USA where in 1987 he receives a bachelor degree with distinction in Graphic Design at the San Francisco Academy of Arts. In 1988 he started working in Lisbon as a freelancer before joining Massa Cinzenta as art director. In 1991 he began his role as Design Director at Novodesign, a major design enterprise responsible for branding many key Portuguese companies.
In January 2000 he stepped to Maisdesign/Central de Comunicação as Associated Creative Director, co-managing the company on its paths of growth until its merge with Brandia (former Novodesign) in 2005.
At the present time he responds as Brand Design Creative Director at Brandia Central.
Meanwhile, he is the president of the CCP – Clube de Criativos de Portugal and board member of the ADC*E - Art Directors Club of Europe.
