Rafa started his career at Vitruvio Leo Burnett, where he has stayed ever since, in 1990 as an account executive. A year later he was attracted by creative work and moved to art department and worked for 5 years as art director, and since 1996 as executive creative director.
His clients include several major global and national advertisers, including Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Kellogg's and McDonald's, as well as Spanish Railways (Renfe), Red Cross, beer Mahou-San Miguel and bank BBVA. He is current president of the CdeC’s Board of Directors. (Spanish’ Creative Club).
Rafa served on juries at Cannes, D&AD (twice, once as President of the International Print Jury), CdeC (twice), Festival de Publicidad de San Sebastián/El Sol (3 times), Clio Awards, Eurobest, LAUS , Adprint, Young Guns, London Awards (twice), New York Festivals (twice).
He was selected as the best creative director in Spain and Portugal in 2002, 2004 and 2005 by Latin Spots, and Vitruvio Leo Burnett has been named the Agency of the year in Leo Burnett’s network 3 times during the last 5 years.
