Marcello Serpa, has been creative director at AlmapBBDO since 1993, when he became a partner in the agency beside José Luiz Madeira. Since then, the Agency won 74 Lions at the Cannes Festival, and in 2004 and 2005, was the most awarded agency in the world, according to the Gunn Report. AlmapBBDO is the only agency to reach the top rank for two consecutive years.
Marcello studied Visual and Graphic Arts in Germany, where he worked at the agencies GGK and R. G. Wiesmeir. Before AlmapBBDO, he worked at DPZ and DM9. He is the most awarded Art Director in Brazil. He won the first Brazilian Grand Prix conquered at Cannes in 1993, and the first Brazilian Gold Pencil at the One Show. Marcello was elected the best Creative Director in Brazil and Iberian-America for seven years by the Argentine El Ojo de Iberoamerica. In 2000, he was the youngest TV and print juror at Cannes.
