The founder and CEO of Bluetango, the Viennese based advertising agency, started in advertising 25 years ago after his studies of architecture and marketing. He always was a real European and a border crosser, who found it natural to combine the job of a consultant with that of a creative. His popular saying is: “If you take your job seriously, you always know if your campaign is not only creative but also relevant”.
For twenty years Newrkla had worked in both fields as partner with Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann, the best agency in Austria at the time. When, 3 years ago, he founded Bluetango it was the first international network advertising agency in Austria: strategic Planners from London, Creatives from Amsterdam, Hamburg, Zürich, Kopenhagen and San Francisco worked together with the Vienna based team for Bluetango's clients like Mobilkom Austria, Donau-Insurance and others.
It was his professional reputation that made him President of the European Art Directors Club. He has won many national and international awards for his work for Mazda, the Austrian Sugar Board, Kika and Lutz - Austria's biggest furniture chain, for Mischek, the leading home developer or Katu, the mind moving drink.
